For the summer of 2019, LPEP (Lafayette Peer Empowerment Project) has been re-imagined. What hasn’t changed is that LPEP is still supported by The City of Lafayette and administered by (EC)^2 (Empowerment Center of East County), the program is still free to all Lafayette area middle and high schoolers AND we still run for the month of June. So what is new? The format has changed and the leadership and learning offerings have been expanded to include hands-on and practical experiences. This year, LPEPers will be able to choose from three engaging and exciting pillars: 1) Health, Wellness and Expressive Arts 2) Public Fine Art and 3) (EC)^2 Studios: Film and Music Engagement. These pillars will be lead by a group of facilitators, youth leaders and coaches. LPEPers will gain valuable knowledge and experience that will open their minds to a world of possibilities. Become a LPEPer!
